Flood warning

Property flooding remains possible.

River levels are high but dropping slowly on the River Cherwell following heavy rainfall from Storm Bert. Therefore, flooding of property and roads remains possible overnight, 27/11/2024, especially in the Enslow and Lower Heyford areas. Areas most at risk include Watermead Road, Kidlington. The forecast this evening and overnight is mainly dry. River levels are expected to continue to drop slowly today. Levels remain sensitive to further rainfall and may rise again later in the week in response to forecast rain.

We are closely monitoring the situation. Move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety. Activate any property flood protection products such as flood barriers. Go to the 'River and Sea levels in England' webpage for current river levels. This message will be updated tomorrow morning, 28/11/2024, or as the situation changes.
