Flooding expected. Take action now.
Rising river levels are expected to cause flooding overnight.
Flooding is expected from the evening of 18 February 2026 from 10pm.
A band of heavy rain in West Cornwall that has fallen on Wednesday evening has caused river levels to rise rapidly.
Properties and low lying areas will start to flood from around 10pm. The main areas of concern are properties and low lying areas in and around Trenear, including Sawyers Court, Poldark Mine and the B3297. Flood waters may be deep and fast flowing in these areas.
River levels are forecast to be at their highest from 11pm onwards until Thursday morning.
We are closely monitoring the situation .
Avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded . Monitor local water levels and weather conditions.
