Rising river levels are expected to cause flooding this morning.
Flooding is expected on 15 December 2025 from 04:30.
Locations most affected will be low lying roads, agricultural land, commercial and residential properties near to the river Derwent including Glenfield Place, Meadow Edge, Workington Hall Mill, Hall Brow and Curwen Park.
We are monitoring rainfall and river levels .
Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water .
This message will be updated by 4:00PM on 15 December 2025 or as the situation changes.
