Flooding expected. Take action now.
A band of rain has now moved across South Yorkshire and scattered showers are forecast during the morning of Friday the 15th of November. The River Don has risen in response to the rain and is forecast to peak at around 09:00, although levels are not expected to result in further overtopping of rivers banks and defences. The Leeds incident room remains open and we will be closely monitoring the situation and the need to maintain this flood warning. A 5 day flood forecast can be seen on the GOV.UK website. Our staff have deployed pumps, people and equipment. Please plan your journey to avoid low lying roads which may be affected. This message will be updated by 12:30 on the 15th of November or as the situation changes.
