Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels have peaked on the River Don at Kilnhurst. However, levels still remain high. Consequently, this Flood Warning remains in place. The risk of flooding to property, roads and farmland remains. Areas most at risk are Charles Street and Thomas Street. Although further unsettled weather and showers are forecast, we are not expecting any further significant rainfall and so expect levels to continue to fall over the next 24 hours. Our incident response staff will continue to monitor the forecast and river levels. Please plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. This message will be updated by 20:10 this evening, 21/02/2022, or as the situation changes.
