Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels on the River Don are falling and are expected to continue to do so throughout today and overnight, 23/10/23.
While the current overall risk is greatly reduced, further rainfall is forecast overnight and into tomorrow, Tuesday 24/10/23. As such, we expect river levels to begin to respond and rise again from tomorrow afternoon and into the evening 24/10/23, however we do not expect the levels to be as high as in recent days. Flooding in areas adjacent to the river still remains a risk, so you should avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. Our incident rooms are open, and we are closely monitoring the situation. This message will be updated by 01:30 AM, 24th October 2023, or as the situation changes.
