Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels on the Don remain high as a result of the recent persistent heavy rainfall. Although levels have begun to fall in the afternoon today, 09/11/19, they are still high and consequently, the risk of flooding to property and roads across Newton Farm remains.
Although no further significant rainfall is forecast on Saturday and Sunday, we expect river levels to remain high through the weekend into Monday 11/11/19, with the catchment near capacity, so this warning remains in force.
Our incident response staff are closely monitoring the forecast and our incident room remains open. Please see the GOV.UK website for a 5 day flood forecast. Please do not walk or drive through fast moving water. To report flooding impacts, please call 0800 80 70 60, and call the Floodline helpline for advice on 0345 988 1188.
This message will be updated by 04:10 10/11/19, or as the situation changes.
