Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels on the River Don have fallen overnight and into this morning, Tuesday 24/10/23.
While the current overall risk is greatly reduced, further rainfall is forecast today, 24/10/2023. As such, we expect river levels to begin to respond and rise further during the afternoon and into the evening, peaking late Tuesday night (24/10/2023). We do not expect the levels to be as high as in recent days. Standing water in areas adjacent to the river still remains a risk, so you should avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. Our incident room remains open, and we are closely monitoring the situation. This message will be updated by 18:30, 24th October 2023 or as the situation changes.
