This Flood Warning has now been removed. River levels have fallen steadily overnight and continue to fall through today, Thursday 4th January 2024. Levels remain high in the Lower Don catchment however, with standing water likely to remain in low lying land such as Thorpe Marsh. A Flood Alert remains in force for the wider area, with flooding of roads and low lying land still possible. No further significant rainfall is forecast and we expect river levels to continue to fall over the coming days. We will continue to monitor the forecast closely. Please continue to take care on waterside roads and footpaths and don't put yourself in unnecessary danger.
