Flood warning

Throughout Monday and into the early hours of Tuesday, 24/10/23, river levels on the River Don have been falling. While the current overall flood risk is greatly reduced, further rainfall is forecast throughout Tuesday 24/10/23. As a result, we expect river levels to begin to respond and rise again during Tuesday afternoon and into the evening.

We do not currently expect river levels to be as high as in recent days. Flooding in areas adjacent to the river still remains a risk, so you should avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. Our incident rooms are open, and we are closely monitoring the situation.

This message will be updated by 09:25 AM, 24th October 2023, or as the situation changes.
