Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels are still rising on the River Esk at Lealholm due to rainfall associated with Storm Babet. Rainfall is expected to continue overnight into Saturday, 21/10/23. Peak river level is estimated to be less that 3m at Lealholm and is expected to begin falling during the day. Our incident room is open and we are closely monitoring the situation. Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not attempt to walk or drive through flood water. This message will be updated by 2pm, 21/10/2023, or as the situation changes.
