Flooding expected. Take action now.
This flood warning has been issued as a result of high levels on the River Foss following recent rainfall in the catchment. Levels at Huntington are currently 2.5m and are expected to reach around 2.6m, before falling away later on Tuesday morning. The Foss Barrier is not currently operating, but will be activated later this morning as the River Ouse rises in response to the recent rainfall. We will continue to monitor the situation and update this message accordingly.
