Flooding expected. Take action now.

Flood warning

Levels on the River Glen remain high. During periods of high tide, the river will be unable to discharge into the sea, resulting in tide lock conditions. This is likely to lead to localised flooding at Surfleet reservoir. This Flood Warning is now in force for the following tide lock period: From 20:00 to 22:00 on Monday 12th February. The risk is expected to decrease from Tuesday 13th onwards. We continue to monitor the situation and this message will be updated by 17:00 on 13/02/24, or before, if the situation changes.
