Flooding possible. Be prepared.

Flood alert

River levels are currently high but falling at Linton. But, remain high and steady at Byron's Pool following recent rainfall and snowmelt. Flooding is possible today and overnight 07/01/25. Areas most at risk are around the River Granta from Linton to Babraham. The forecast is for no further rainfall in the next 72hrs. River levels will remain high and could also lead to some surface water problems. River levels are expected to fall over the next 48hrs. Take care on riverside roads and footpaths, and don't put yourself in unnecessary danger. We are monitoring the situation and not expecting it to escalate. We will update this message by 10am tomorrow, 08/01/25
