Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels have fallen at the Sharnbrook river gauge but remain higher than normal. Consequently, the risk of property flooding remains but is reducing for the High Road in Felmersham, Ouse Manor at Sharnbrook, Rushden Road at Bletsoe, Close Road and Stafford Farm at Pavenham, and Bedford Road at Milton Ernest. Further rainfall is possible on Thursday 31st December and Friday 1st January. We are closely monitoring the situation. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. You can find out if your community assistance centre is open at www.bedford.gov.uk. This message will be updated in 12 hours, or as the situation changes.
