Flood alert

River levels are falling but remain high today as a result of recent heavy rainfall. Flooding remains possible on 22 February 2026. Areas most at risk are around the River Great Ouse from Newport Pagnell to Sharnbrook. We are not expecting the situation to escalate, or to issue any further warning messages at this time. Further light rainfall is forecast today and tomorrow which may keep levels high. We are monitoring rainfall and river levels. Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses. This message will be updated by 10:00am Monday 23rd February 2026 or as the situation changes.
