Flooding expected. Take action now.

Flood warning

River levels have risen at the Greta Bridge river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property, roads and farmland is possible from today 23/02/21 and tomorrow 24/02/21. Flooding is expected to affect low lying properties and recreational areas adjacent to the River Greta in Keswick, including Upper Fitz Park, Lower Fitz Park, Station Road, Greta Side and Keswick AFC.
Further rainfall is forecast over the next 36 hours.
We are closely monitoring the situation.
Please avoid using low lying footpaths near rivers and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded.
This message will be updated tomorrow morning, 24/02/21, or as the situation changes.
