Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels are falling but remain high at the Ordsall river gauge. Consequently, the risk of flooding remains. Areas most at risk are Retford, including Eaton and Gamston, the A638 Eaton to Ordsall Road, the B6387 Gamston Road at Gamston, Eaton Road at Eaton, and the A631 at Bawtry.
River levels are expected to rise again this afternoon, Tuesday 12/11/19, as a result of recent rainfall. Further heavy rainfall is forecast on Thursday 14/11/19.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Please activate any property flood protection products you may have, such as flood barriers and air brick covers; move family, pets and cars to safety; and have a bag ready with vital items like medicines and insurance documents. This message will be updated this afternoon, 12/11/19, or as the situation changes.
