Flood alert

River levels are rising due to heavy rainfall overnight on Wednesday 27th November.

Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the Ingrebourne, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected, particularly around Norfolk Rise, Hacton Lane and Rainham Trading Estate.

We are monitoring rainfall and river levels and are checking rivers for blockages in the area.

Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not attempt to walk or drive through flood water.

This message will be updated by 6pm on Wednesday 27th November, or as the situation changes.
