Rising river levels are expected to cause flooding throughout the afternoon and into this evening, Monday 30th September 2024.
Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the River Irk, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected, particularly around some properties on Hilton Fold Lane and Rex Mill on Don Street.
We are closely monitoring the situation and monitoring rainfall and river levels.
Start acting on your flood plan if you have one.
Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water.
