River levels are rising due to recent heavy rainfall.
Property flooding is expected near the River Irwell, particularly properties adjacent to the River Irwell through Strongstry and Chatterton.
Start acting on your flood plan if you have one.
Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water.
Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses.
We are closely monitoring the situation and monitoring rainfall and river levels.
