Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels are rising at the as a result of heavy rainfall and are expected to remain high until Friday. Consequently, flooding of land at Sale and Chorlton Golf Clubs, Chorlton Water Park and Fairways Farm is possible tonight, Wednesday 20th January. Further rainfall is forecast over the next 48 hours but it is expected that river levels will peak in the early hours of tomorrow morning, Thursday 21st January . Our incident response staff are closely monitoring weather forecasts and river levels and will issue further flood warnings if necessary. Please be aware of your surroundings and keep up to date with the current situation. This message will be updated tomorrow, Thursday 21st January or as the situation changes.
