Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels are rising at the Sale Water Park river gauge as a result of persistent heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of low lying land, roads and farmland is expected this evening on 07/11/2019. We believe there is a possibility of flooding for land adjacent to the River Mersey at Sale Water Park, including Trafford Watersports centre and associated buildings, Deckers, Jacksons Boat public house and parts of Rifle Road. We expect river levels to peak at around 02:00am.
Our incident response staff are closely monitoring weather forecasts and river levels and will issue further flood warnings if necessary.
Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses, be aware of your surroundings and keep up to date with the current situation.
This message will be updated as the situation changes.
