The Flood Warning for the River Nidd at Killinghall Business Parks remains in force. River levels have peaked and will remain high, with no further rise forecast. Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the River Nidd, with low lying land expected to be most affected, particularly around Killinghall Business Parks and riverside properties situated on the right-hand bank and off Ripon Road. The current level at Birstwith is 3.38m and is expected to remain steady throughout tonight, Sunday 20/02/22. Further rainfall is expected overnight and into tomorrow Monday 21/02/2022. We are monitoring river levels closely. Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not attempt to walk or drive through flood water. Plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. Visit the GOV.UK website for a 5 day flood forecast and up to date river levels. This message will be updated by 09:00am on 21/02/2022, or as the situation changes.
