High river levels are expected to cause flooding overnight.
Flooding is expected from the early hours of 27 January 2026 .
Heavy rain falling in the area will continue throughout the night.

Properties and low lying areas will start to flood from around 2:30AM on Tuesday. The main areas of concern are School, Village Hall, Railway Terrace and other riverside properties in Tipton St. John. Lower Way at Harpford, the A3052, properties adjacent to the bridge in Newton Poppleford and the lower part of Fore Street in Otterton. Flood waters may be deep and fast flowing in these areas.

We are monitoring rainfall and river levels .
Never drive through flood water, just 30cm of fast flowing water is enough to move your car . Activate any flood protection products you may have.
