Rising river levels are expected to cause flooding tomorrow morning. 
Flooding is expected from the early hours of 23 January 2026 from 04:00am. 
Locations most affected will be the properties on King's Staith in York and riverside areas through York from Lendall Bridge to Millennium Bridge. We are currently operating flood gates and the Foss Barrier. 
We are monitoring rainfall and river levels  
Start acting on your flood plan if you have one and activate any flood protection products you may have.
