High river levels are expected to cause flooding throughout the evening. Flooding is expected on 12 February 2026. Locations most affected will be properties on King's Staith in York and riverside areas through York from Lendal Bridge to Millennium Bridge. We are closely monitoring the situation , closing floodgates and operating the Foss Barrier. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water Act on your flood plan if you have one. This message will be updated by 02:00PM on 12 February 2026 or as the situation changes.
