Flood warning

Rising river levels are expected to cause flooding today. 
Flooding is expected from the evening of 13 March 2026 and overnight, from 10:30PM. 
Locations most affected will be properties on King's Staith in York and riverside areas through York from Lendall Bridge to Millennium Bridge. 
We are closely monitoring the situation and closing flood gates. 
Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water . 
This message will be updated by 12:00AM on 14 March 2026 or as the situation changes.
