Flooding possible. Be prepared.

Flood alert

River levels are currently high but are falling following recent rainfall and snowmelt. Flooding is still possible today and overnight 07/01/25. Areas most at risk are those around the River Ouzel from Leighton Buzzard to Willen, including Clipstone Brook and Water Eaton Brook. The forecast is for no further rainfall in the next 72hrs. River levels are expected to continue to fall. Take care on riverside roads and footpaths, and don't put yourself in unnecessary danger. We are monitoring the situation and not expecting it to escalate. We will update this message by 10am tomorrow, 08/01/25
