Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels are rising at the Albert Royds Bridge river gauge as a result of persistent rainfall. Consequently, flooding of low lying land, roads and farmland is expected between this afternoon 07/11/2019. We believe there is also a possibility of flooding for the area from Roch Valley Way to Yorkshire Street and Albert Royds Street. Further rainfall is forecast throughout the rest of today and into the early hours of 08/11/2019. We expect river levels to peak around 11:00pm 07/11/2019. Our incident response staff are closely monitoring weather forecasts and river levels and will issue further flood warnings if necessary. Please be aware of your surroundings and keep up to date with the current situation. This message will be updated as the situation changes.
