Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels on the Rother at Beighton have fallen from this morning’s (9th October 204) peak, but remain high due to recent heavy rainfall. Areas most at risk of flooding include Beighton, including Woodhouse Lane and Rotherham Road and Crown Works Industrial Estate. Whilst levels have responded slightly to today’s rainfall, any further rain will subside this evening, so we do not expect levels to rise much further and will gradually continue to drop.
Please continue to avoid using low-lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not drive through floodwater. We will continue to monitor the situation and will update this message as the situation changes.
