Flooding expected. Take action now.
Throughout Monday and into the early hours of Tuesday, 24/10/23, river levels on the River Rother have been falling. While the current flood risk is reduced, further rainfall is forecast throughout Tuesday.
As a result, we expect river levels to begin to respond and rise again during Tuesday afternoon and into the evening of 24/10/23. We do not currently expect river levels to be as high as in recent days.
Flooding in areas adjacent to the river still remains a risk, so you should avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. Our incident rooms are open, and we are closely monitoring the situation.
