Flooding expected. Take action now.
This flood warning remains in force due to high river levels following Monday's heavy and persistent rainfall. Areas most at risk include Woodhouse Mill and properties on Furnace Lane and Retford Road. River levels at the Woodhouse Ings regulator levelled off yesterday afternoon, Tuesday 1st October and are now starting to drop slowly. Levels upstream at Killamarsh and Meadowgate have been steadily falling overnight.
With no further significant rainfall forecast over the next few days, levels at Woodhouse are expected to continue to slowly fall today, Wednesday 2nd October. Avoid using low-lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not drive through floodwater. To report flooding, call our Incident Hotline on 0800 80 70 60.
We will continue to monitor the situation and will update this message as the situation changes. This message will be updated by 15:00 pm on 2nd October 2024.
