Flood Warning

River levels are rising at the Buildwas river gauge as a result of persistent heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property, roads and farmland is imminent. Flooding is affecting property on Buildwas Road, downstream of Buildwas Bridge. Predicted Peak at Buildwas 6.7m to 7.0m overnight Tuesday, 25/02/20 into Wednesday, 26/02/20. We expect river levels to rise throughout Tuesday, and remain high over the next few days. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are checking defences and liaising with emergency services Please avoid contact with flood water and call 999 if in immediate danger. This message will be updated by 4am on Tuesday 25/02/20, or as the situation changes.
