Flooding possible. Be prepared.
River levels are falling but remain high overnight, 16 November 2025. No further rain is forecast. Locations most affected will be low lying land and roads near rivers. The River Spen, Blacup Beck, Lands Beck and Canker Dyke in Cleckheaton and Liversedge, Batley Beck from Birstall to Dewsbury, and Chickenley Beck. We are closely monitoring the situation and monitoring rainfall and river levels. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. Avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. This message will be updated by 12:00 PM on 16 November 2025 or as the situation changes.
