Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels are forecast to rise at the Shipston river gauge as a result of persistent heavy rainfall from Storm Alex. Consequently, flooding of property and roads is expected from 04:00 tomorrow morning, Sunday 04/10/20.
Flooding is affecting properties at Halford, Newbold on Stour, Crimscote, Alderminster, Preston on Stour, Ailstone, Atherton on Stour and Clifford Chambers.
Further heavy rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours. We expect river levels to rise until Sunday afternoon 04/10/20.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are actively checking river levels and the weather forecast.
Please avoid contact with flood water and activate any property flood protection products you may have, such as flood barriers and air brick covers.
Call 999 if in immediate danger.
This message will be updated tomorrow morning, 04/10/20, or as the situation changes.
