River levels have peaked but remain high on the River Swale at Howe village and by Skipton Bridge due to recent rainfall associated with Storm Jocelyn. Areas most at risk include Howe village and properties along and off the B6267 and the A61. Showers are forecast in the coming days however we expect levels to fall slowly. We are closely monitoring the situation. Plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. This message will be updated by 08:00am on Thursday 25/01/2024, or as the situation changes.
