Property flooding is not currently expected. River levels continue to fall in the Oxford area on the River Thames following recent rainfall. However, flooding of low-lying land, footpaths, tow paths and roads is expected to continue, especially in the Wolvercote and Botley areas. Light rain will continue for the rest of this evening, 26/01/21, before clearing. A further band of light rain showers overnight may affect some places, which will clear tomorrow morning, 27/01/21. River levels are falling, but will be sensitive to further rainfall and snow melt this week and therefore still pose a flood risk. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are operating weirs to reduce flood risk. Please remain safe and aware of your local surroundings and avoid using low-lying footpaths near local watercourses. This message will be updated tomorrow morning, 27/01/21, or as the situation changes.
