Flood alert

High river levels may lead to flooding.

River levels are high on the River Thames and other watercourses in the Oxford area. Flooding of low lying land and roads is expected to continue today, 26 February 2026. The forecast is for some rain overnight tonight and further rain tomorrow and into the weekend. Levels are stabilising or in the area but are expected to remain high and sensitive to further rainfall over the coming days.

We are monitoring rainfall and river levels. Avoid low lying footpaths and roads near rivers, which may be flooded. Go to River Levels Online for updates on current river levels.
