Flooding expected. Take action now.
Property flooding is expected. River levels are rising on the River Thames as a result of a period of sustained heavy rain. Therefore, flooding of property is expected overnight tonight, 6 January 2024, or tomorrow morning, especially in properties in the Sunbury area. The forecast for tonight, 6 January 2024, is for mostly dry conditions with the chance of some light showers, with a dry forecast for the next few days. We expect river levels to continue to rise over the next few days as water moves through the system.
Our staff are liaising with councils and emergency services. Move possessions and valuables off the ground, or to safety. Go to the 'River and Sea levels in England' webpage for current river levels. Avoid contact with flood water.
