Flooding possible. Be prepared.
Rising river levels are expected to cause flooding. A flood warning is in force for the River Thames at Purley.
River levels are high on the River Thames and its tributaries from Pangbourne to Purley. Flooding is expected to continue today in the Whitchurch and Pangbourne areas. Predominantly light rain is expected over the next 48 hours, which may be heavy at times. Levels are stabilising in the area but are expected to remain high and sensitive to further rainfall over the coming days.
We are closely monitoring the situation.
We are monitoring rainfall and river levels. Avoid low lying footpaths and roads near rivers, which may be flooded. Go to River Levels Online for updates on current river levels.
