Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels remain high at the Redbridge river gauge as a result of the rainfall overnight. Consequently the risk of flooding of property, roads and farmland remains today, Tuesday 2 February. We expect flooding to affect Hargham Road in Shropham, Mill Lane in Snetterton, Dolphin Terrace and Railway Cottages in Harling Road, Church Road, Greenfields and The Green in East Harling, The Street in Bridgham, and Thorpe Cottages in Shadwell. The forecast is for further light rain today, which may cause river levels to rise again. Our incident response staff are checking defences and we are closely monitoring the situation. Please avoid contact with flood water and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers. This message will be updated this afternoon, Tuesday 2 February, or as the situation changes.
