River levels are rising at the Shardlow river gauge as a result of persistent heavy rainfall and snow melt over the past two days. Consequently, flooding of property is expected early tomorrow morning, Wednesday 06/12/23. Areas most at risk are Cavendish Bridge, including Back Lane and London Road.
Further heavy rainfall is forecast on Thursday. We are closely monitoring the situation.
Please move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety and move cars to safety.
