Flooding expected. Take action now.

Flood warning

River levels remain high at the Yoxall river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall over the past 48 hours. Consequently, the risk of flooding remains.
We expect river levels to remain high but steady throughout today 22/01/2021 and overnight. No further rain is forecast and we are closely monitoring the situation.
Our incident response staff are actively checking river levels and defences. Please avoid using low lying footpaths and bridges near local watercourses and avoid contact with flood water. Please plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. Activate any property flood protection products you may have, such as flood barriers and air brick covers.
This message will be updated this afternoon, 22/01/2021, or as the situation changes.
