Flooding possible. Be prepared.

Flood alert

River levels are starting to recede on the River Tweed at Norham following the heavy rainfall from Storm Isha but will remain higher than normal throughout the evening. Levels should continue to fall overnight, 22/01/2024 but further heavy rainfall is predicted throughout the day tomorrow, 23/01/2024 meaning levels are likely to rise again in the afternoon.

We will continue to monitor the situation. Avoid using low lying footpaths and bridges near local watercourses and do not attempt to walk or drive through flood water.
