Flooding expected. Take action now.

Flood Warning

River levels have risen on the River Tyne at Corbridge as a result of persistent heavy rainfall caused by Storm Ciara. Property flooding is expected between 12:30 and 17:30 today, 09/02/2020. Areas most at risk are properties and low lying areas around Wellbank and St. Andrews Terrace. Please avoid contact with flood water and move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety.

Rainfall is forecast to clear from lunchtime today, 09/02/2020. We expect river levels on the River Tyne to continue to respond into this afternoon in response to the heavy rainfall and remain high for the rest of the day. We are closely monitoring the situation.
