Flood warning

River levels are remaining high on the River Weaver due to heavy rainfall.
Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the River Weaver, with low lying land expected to be most affected, particularly around properties at the River Weaver Navigation and Flood Courses confluence
Further light rainfall is forecast throughout the evening.
River levels will start to fall during the next 12 hours.
We are monitoring rainfall and river levels and are checking rivers for blockages in the area.
Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not attempt to walk or drive through flood water.
This message will be updated by 10:00 PM on 04/01/2024, or as the situation changes.
