Flooding expected. Take action now.
Heavy rain has fallen in the River Welland catchment causing the River Welland to rise. Further rain is forecast tomorrow, Wednesday 27th November, and we expect levels to remain high for several days. Low lying areas are already flooded and we expect properties close to the River Welland and tributaries to be affected. Properties on Mill Road and Gretton Road in the Harringworth area are expected to be affected first. Remain safe and be aware of your local surroundings. Please avoid contact with flood water. Our staff are out in the area to check the flood defences, clear blockages, and assist the emergency services and council. We will be closely monitoring the situation and this message will be updated online and on FloodLine on 27th November, or before if the situation changes.
