Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels are rising on the River Wenning at Low Bentham as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property/roads and farmland is expected from 2230 this evening, 01/11/20 and Monday morning 02/11/20. Flooding is affecting areas adjacent to the River Wenning and Ellergill Beck, including the Fish Farm, Wenningford, Meadow View, properties close to Church Bridge including the Punch Bowl Hotel and tennis courts We expect river levels to remain high until Monday Morning.We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are checking defences. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses. This message will be updated in 8 hours, or as the situation changes.
