Flooding expected. Take action now.
Storm Henk has brought heavy rain in the Glen catchment, which has fallen onto already saturated ground. This has caused the River West Glen to rise, and is forecast to remain high throughout today. Low lying areas near to the river are already flooded, and we now expect properties to be affected. Properties on Station Road in Corby Glen are expected to be affected first. Remain safe and be aware of your local surroundings. Please avoid contact with flood water. Our staff are out in the area to check the flood defences, clear blockages, and assist the emergency services and council. We will be closely monitoring the situation and this message will be updated online and on FloodLine by 16:00 on 4th January, or before if the situation changes.
