Flooding expected. Take action now.
The River Wey in the Passfield Mill, Standford, Frensham and Millbridge areas has been rising quickly this evening in response to recent rainfall. Heavy showers are expected across the area this evening and into tomorrow. Therefore levels will continue to rise and property flooding is expected from this evening (10/11/2018) onwards, especially in the Bordon area. Based on past events, the river in this area could exceed levels seen in 2012.
We are constantly monitoring river levels and our staff have been out in the area checking for and clearing blockages. Flood waters may be deep and fast flowing. Residents are strongly urged to take action now. Remain safe and be aware of your local surroundings, Please refer to the River and Sea levels in England webpage for current levels. This message will be updated tomorrow morning if not before.
